Well, I see that Vivaldi snuck a blog in yesterday.? He thinks he's so clever!? Anyway, before Francesca, G.K., and I left for Maine, I visited the stable and was mildly alarmed at how quiet things were.? After a few inquiries, I found out why.
Hmmm, this is so strange. The stable seems far too quiet.
With five horses and three miniature donkeys, such quiet in the stable is hard to come by! I'm going to put on my detective cap and get to the bottom of this!
Hey Rinze and Meindert, what's going on in here? Where are Rutger and Ramon?
Well, Sharkey, Betsy loaded them into the horse trailer a few days ago and drove them up to Skylands so that Martha can go riding through Acadia.
In the meantime, the crew has been giving the stable a good scrubbing. It's much easier when there are fewer horses in the stalls. All of the stalls have been thoroughly mucked.
The stall mats were removed, washed really well, and dried out in the sun.
And then Gelbu power washed each stall until they were clean and shiny.
He was sure to get every nook and cranny.
Wow, Rinze, won't the travellers be so happy to come back to such a clean home? It doesn't even smell like a stable in here. Oooh - did I just say something inappropriate? Sorry.
